With the help of several resources including, notably, Wikipedia, I have begun to create a listing of all canals and navigations in the UK. The list is not claimed to be exhaustive - if there are noteworthy omissions, or errors, please let me know. The intention - it is a long slow process - is to link each waterway to a page with summary information about each, ie navigation dimensions, number of locks, start and end points and connections with other waterways, etc. As the first half of the list is pretty well complete, I have decided to publish it now, and will extend the linking as and when each set of information is available. An asterisk denotes that the waterway is currently unnavigable/abandoned. (This does not include temporary maintenance closures) England's Waterways
